Problem
When someone or a team needs a direct phone number where they can be reached, or when a new employee that needs a direct line is hired.
Solution
- Log in into your instance of ClusterPBX – You must login with a client level account

Reseller accounts cannot directly order DIDs you must login under the client’s credentials to perform this task for them.
- Click the DID option in the navigation menu
- Click the Buy tab at the top
- Pick a country and a city/prefix from the list – you can also type in the city prefix
- Once you selected the desired number from the list click the Order button with the shopping card on the right
Note
If you intend to send and receive SMS messages from this number make sure the number you pick has the SMS ready option available.
- The Order a DID prompt will advise you of the charges that will be added on your monthly bill, click Yes to continue or No to cancel the purchase

At this point the DID will be added to your client profile, it can be dialed immediately, however you will still need to assign a destination (I.E.: extension, queue, calling group, etc.) in order to use it.
