How-to send faxes using email using the @fax.modulis.ca service.

Your organisation must have a fax number linked to the fax.modulis.ca service and you may not be able to use the fax to send and/or receive faxes, you may have to contact support to enable this feature.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Create a new email message

  2. Enter the fax number in the TO field followed by @fax.modulis.ca
  3. Put the content of your fax together
    • Fax Message Body: Attachment(s) or email’s HTML body
    • Cover Page information in the email body and Subject line (parameters) – Those are completely optional

      Message body format

      Plain text: Will be displayed on the comment section of the cover page.

      HTML: HTML email body will be rendered on the fax as separate pages (like attachments).

  4. Send the message

When the fax is sent

You will receive an Email with the final status of the fax. To check on the status of the fax, go to the Faxes Queued folder.

The fax service will only accept Email messages from authorized users specified in the settings for Sending Faxes in the admin panel.
